My support wearing thin on Tigers??

For the past couple of weeks I've been thinking about how much I support my team and how much faith I got in them. I've been a Balmain Tigers supporter for 13 years and a Wests joint venture supporter for 4 years. I had patience in the joint venture club hoping that this team will get somewhere. Four years and not much has changed. It's deja vu every season with Wests going well for the first half and then doing poorly in the second. When I watched the Tigers play the Roosters for the first time this year. I knew that the Tigers were going to end up in the same problem as the did in their past seasons. I have patience, support and faith in this club but It's really hard to keep that up when you see the same problem arise over and over every season. My support is wearing thin. What's going on? We have like the smallest pack in the competition, the oppurtunity arises to grab players that may help the club improve but the only outcome so far is a penrith centre being bought...we don't need centres! we need a stronger forward pack, new second rowers, a prop and a lock dammit! Tigers wont get much further without those areas improved. Inconsistency and a small pack don't make a good combination. Could we be the next wooden spoon team in 2005? I sure hope not but it does feel like that may happen. So my support still stands with Tigers...I may look like a sell-out if I were ever to change my support but I may end up doing so if deja vu keeps hanging over the club's head every year.

C'mon Tigers! Pull a finger out ya a** and do better!

I saw bandwagonism first hand for the first time around 74/75 in primary school....kids that went for other teams suddenly went for the roosters when they won a couple of premierships....( I suppose they still have that kind of "support")

...I may look like a sell-out if I were ever to change my support but I may end up doing so if deja vu keeps hanging over the club's head every year.

I dont know how you could even consider supporting another team.....

Nearly every week I feel like giving up on WT's ....but no other team comes into it.

Personally I couldnt do it.....they would have to kick WestsTigers out and I might still have an interest in the game.....no, I'd definitely keep an inetrst. I had an idea of how that would be when they tried to boot Wests out years ago....looked around and wondered who I mightve followed had the NSWRL been successful....thats when i realized it'd be impossible for me to even pretend to support another team.....it was Western Suburbs, now WestsTigers till I or they die.

You wouldnt 'look a sell-out'....youd most certainly, 110% BE a sell-out.

i agree your team is your team, everyone has a soft spot for another team, but to follow them and drop the tigers NEVER [-X

I could never contemplate going for anyone else.

I still think we should be able to register criticism of them here without being branded disloyal or being told to support someone else.

If the Wests Tigers got the boot from the competition, or relocated, I'd be finished with League for good though.

We have compromised enough IMO.

Time for some of the other clubs to carry some burden.

If things continue, I may eventually give up, but even that would take a lot.

As for supporting another team, are you f**kin crazy?

The only good thing about following Wests Tigers right now is that you know that the current supporters will always go for the Tigers no matter what, becuase if they were 'fake' supporters, they would have gone by now!

Congratulations current WT fans, we are true supporters!

i was a tiger man from the 60s--i saw the writing on the wall-so when the joint v came along--i said yeh--those magies, not a bad bunch, they were around in 1908--if you are going to share a bed-better with a friend than a foe--so i rallied behind the jv-after a few rough years,we started to show some real ticker--a team on the way up--a team with direction,a plan-a team you would think would be a force in the near future-------------well those days are gooooooooone---noyce lavers sheens---you have blown it----2 years down the track--we will be lucky to be their--souths can do it,parra can do it, sharks can do it,manly can do it.warriors can do it--but WE CANT--you can have all the good kids in the world--but without established names you are going nowhere--you can bring along a marshall, harison and fulton in 2 years--but not 13---i wish a sheens or a noyce would reply----and tell me why they are stuffing my love in life-----this mob--the west tigers are my life--and they are run by second raters
