I'm thinking a South African team will win it this year. Probably the Bulls. I just think they are overdue for a title.

But got the waratahs anyway!

Has to be the Canes. It wouldnt surprise me if the Brumbies implode this year after what went on last year.

I think we say that about the SA sides as well that they will win this year or they will be the dark horse. Except for the first year when Natal were in top form and may have won it if they had gotten the home final SA have not looked like getting it.

Well they couldn't beat the Hurricanes at home in the tropical heat despite the 'Canes complete lack of set-piece ability (every lineout was a gift to the Reds), so nope, not many elements of truth in that one.

The Canes went ok tonight, but unless they can actually get their tight five to work they won't threaten seriously. They'll win a few off the strength of their defence and back three though.
As for the other teams so far from what I've seen:
The Cheifs were crap, and will need a whole lot of improvement.
The 'Tahs looked pretty good, but doubtless they'll fall apart at the business end like they always do.
The Blues looked good and will be in the hunt again this year.
The Highlanders will win a few but be also rans.
The Crusaders looked a bit rusty but will improve and will be up there again, although I wasn't impressed with their backline.
Th Brumbies looked the goods and will be in the hunt again this year.
The Reds didn't look like they'll threaten anyone.
Didn't catch much of the Stormers-Sharks match so can't comment really.
