Samoans really dominate nz league and rugby. I'm pretty sure there are more Samoans living in nz than in Samoa.

LoL, The scary thing is there are hundreds of natural skilled players in all the islands eg. Samoa Fiji and Tonga

It's an amazing exercise really. A full strength Samoan team would thrash a full strength Kiwi team without them imo. The team you name includes several first choice Kiwis on the bench, and you left out one of the world's best second-rowers in Lauiti'iti.

Dubious in my opinion. There are far more Samoans than Tongans in the NRL, surely. Maybe if Wiki (is he half Maori?), Rauhihi etc played for the Maori team.

A Tongan 13 and a Maori 13 could be competitive with a Samoan 13 in my opinion.

Agree with you there. Would be interesting to watch, if only in theory.

Hutch Maiava is Samoan and would be the form prop compared with Fobsta's team. He is going to get better too!! Go the Sharks.

Stats from the past weekend:

Tackles Hit/Ups Metres Offloads Errors Mistackles

Maiava 13 17 170 0 1 2

Asotasi 22 23 218 3 0 4

Wiki 40 18 166 2 0 0

Hutch Maiava had a blinder on the weekend against the Storm, but he is still nowhere near the form and workrate of Asotasi and Wiki.

I agree with you about their respective workrates but those stats are suspect at best, you list Maiava with no offloads but he definitely gave one which let directly to a try!

I forgot the try assists and Kicks.
Hutch had 1 try assist, Asotasi and Wiki none.
Wiki had 1 kick, Asotasi and Maiava none.
