They're nice beers Outlaw but what I would call 'special occasion' brews.

If I could afford it, I'd only drink Czech beer which imo, is the best in the world.

Instead I settle for Carlton Cold.

Also like Coopers,

Crownies....

...and Homers...

El... far be it from me to criticise a bloke'schoice of brew but VB is kiddies' beer compared to what the Czech's drink.

Tooheys New for mine. VB is a repulsive ale! I prefer bourbon to be honest though

BTW, its funny how we were all able to find pictures of our beers so 'conveniently'. lol, i hope we are all true Austraylians and have a picture of a beer as our wallpaper

One of these two are usually in the fridge on any given day. For all the shite that gets dumped on Tassie they do make Australia's best beer... &amp; good maps. ;)

But for those special occasions, (ie. the begining of a new month :D) the fridge simply radiates with the cool, refreshing glow of...

</td></tr></tbody></table>
easily the best the world has to offer. If I'm out though I just cant get enough of Tooheys Old but only on tap. For some weird reason I cant stand the stuff out of a can orbottle but on tap... mmmmmmmm.

I gave up drinking several years ago, but there is only one beer that goes with Rugby League and coal mining in the Hunter Valley and that's;

<table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <tbody> <tr> <td align=middle width=120 height=20> </td> <td height=20> </td></tr> <tr> <td align=middle width=120>

Stella Artois, Corona, Becks or Grolsch all go down a treat, I'll settle for New or Hahn Premium if its on tap though.
Light beer makes baby Jesus cry.

Corona is a beer for girls and art students.

Roopy: I agree with Tooheys Old being a top drop...
...and I agree with eels fan... about it tasting better on tap.
I think saying 'a Schooner of Old' is the reason for many of my ailments. ;)

Some black beer fans hey?? Good to see!

I was a bit reluctant to mention my liking towards Old, Kilkenny and Guinness. I like it on tap but in cans its pretty ordinary. When we get the chance to head out to the Mean Fiddler, a top irish pub in Rouse Hill, they have Guinness on tap......and the 3 leave clover on top of the head just to top it off. Bloody brilliant ale.

Hmmm, nothing wrong with a creamy Guinness.
Kilkenny is on tap at the local as well.

I've mentionedit before but the best beer in the world is definitely Czech beer, in Czechslovakia. I've not talking about imported stuff.
There's only a few places that sell the genuine amber liquid outside of Czechslovakia.

Wellll...all this talk of beer is working up a sweat... you can get it walking, you can get it talking...you can get it milking a cow...as a matter of fact, I've got it now.

Time for a beer... and the beer is Czech.

I'm sure somewhere in the world its past knock-off time.

Sitting outside in the 40 degree heat at lunchtime the idea of a cold beer was pretty tempting...

Funny you should mention theMean Fiddler, Moffo.Apart from having Guiness on tap ,I reckon the place is a dive.Yet Friday and Saturday nights there are queues hundreds of metres long to get into the joint.Different strokes,I guess.

When I saw a tape of the 2001 SOO #1, there was a commercial (ad) for a beer called something Midstrength that was shown over and over. The one where a bunch of fishermen were tricked into staying longer at a bar by the bartender playing a fake video of a storm warning on the tv.

Is that a popular beer?

Over here we assume Foster's is the only Aussie beer.

Steve: I don't think I've seen Fosters being guzzled for years... the reason being it tastes like crap.
I understand Midstrength is being marketed as a beer you can drink away from home. Something about being able to drink and drive... personally, I always thought the steering wheel got in the way of the pouring hand so I never tried it.

Does anyone in Australia actually drink Fosters? I've never seen it on tap here, although when I was in the UK it was on tap everywhere. I get the feeling that they only keep brewing it for the overseas market.
