I bet Chicago new all along that New York would go crap this year and now they got a no 2 overall pick with the price an aging sick Eddy Curry.

Not much talent in this yrs draft. 2007 draft will be better. Still, no one thought Wade would turn out quite like he has at position 5 of the 2003 draft. Jury is still out on Adam Morrison...he could be a Larry Bird clone (not as good of course) or a Danny Ferry/Keith Van Horn

His defence is hopeless for his size. It may slip him down a few places. Who is that really good Duke guard again?

JJ Reddick.
He is not that good. Sure, he avged 27 a game in college, but whoopee doo. He is a spot up jump shooter who cannot create his own shot. He will be a low 1st round pick.

Thats why I think Spurs could get him with Nick Van Exel and maybe Brent Barry and Micheal Finley retiring. He could turn out to be another Ray Allen.

If the Spurs can't get JJ redick then they need to get a good C/PF. They should keep Mohamid and draft a SG and a PF/C then the spurs will be set for another run at the title next year. \\\\:D/

Just imagine Toronto's side if they still had VC and now with Bosh and Villenuava. team of the future.

This draft isn't top heavy, but it's very deep. Especially at the 4, there are guys who could contribute all the way down to the end of the first round. Pretty reminiscent of last year actually.

Word coming out is that Bargnani and Aldridge are the two most likely for Toronto. Bargnani's current team CEO (or something) is now the vice president of the Raptors, and the coaching staff has been in Italy lately scouting him. Strangely, while the coaching staff were in Italy they brought Tyrus Thomas in for a workout... I'm guessing they're not really considering him. Don't be surprised if one of the top 5 (most likely Chicago) trades their pick, most teams are trying to move down in the draft because the talent is so evenly spread.

Reddick was hopeless in the Tourney game when Duke got knocked out. No way he will be anything like he was in college with the stronger and quicker defenders in the NRL. I reckon he'll be a journeyman sharp shooter, Steve Kerr style. Morrison has more chance at NBA level, but even he is pretty weak, and will get pwned on D.

Redick could still be something special. Alot of spot up shooters have reinvented their game by playing in the NBA like Chauncy Billops. A great shooter that can now post, drive and make shots consistentle. I dont think he'll turn out like a bruce Bowen and camp out in the corner.
