What sort of team have the Kings been able to assemble for this year, will they be competitive.

Does anyone know where Perth got Matt knight from, i have a feeling he played for one of the Sydney teams a few years back, but not sure, he looks the good, better than that useless piece of crap Luke Schenscher, for someone 7"1 tall he was ordinary.

Pretty average. alot of local Sydney products Graeme Dann, Luke Martin, Justin Kazzough etc. I don't know much about the imports they could be the difference between mid table and playoffs.

I don't mind the look of the Kings roster. They have assembled some good players in former Tigers import Rod Grizzard, former Razorback Julian Khazzouh, journeyman Ben Knight, former King Luke Martin, exciting import Taj McCullough and former Boomer in Damien Ryan. Apart from that they don't have much depth.

Matt Knight was playing with Soproni Sordogok in Hungary before he came to Perth. He played under coach Rob Beveridge while he was at the West Sydney Razorbacks along with Damian Martin and Drew Williamson. He was also teammates with Brad Robbins in the 2003 Australian Under-20s team in 2003.

As for Luke Schenscher, I think Wildcats supporters were expecting the Adelaide 36ers Schenscher were he averaged 16.9p @ 0.555, 10.8r, 1.5a, 1.3b per game but didn't happen. Although we can't complain we did win the championship, so we can't complain. He is playing for Townsville Crocodile this season so there is a good chance he can go back to those numbers as the Crocs are no where as deep as the Wildcats this season.

I'm sure the Wildcats, Blaze, Breakers and Tigers will have something to say about that. Especially the Wildcats.

The Hawks have lost import Ty McKee, Cam Tragardh to the Tigers and Luke Martin to the Kings and picked up Oscar Forman from the Breakers and import Gary Ervin. I think they over-achieved last season and they haven't got any better this season.

Tigers look ordinary, so much for Sydney being wooden spoon favorites, Luke Cooper looks pretty good at PG, not sure why the Tigers have gone with so many bigs, well its not working at all.

Hey Goldthorpe, how come Perth have so many away games to start the season ?

A lot of people like to give the NBL sh*t, but I believe there is no better league in the world for air balls.

From recent memory we always seem to start the season with away games - 09/08 Season - @ WOL, @ TSV @ CAI and 07/08 - @ SOU. I have no idea why but we always do and we always start off slow. Losing to the 36ers yesterday follows that theory. Now over to NZ and then MEL on the way back - Fun times!
