discipline - embodied by nutley - copped a crucial penalty last week for a stupid flop - does it again this week - 3 penalties in 12 minutes conceded by one player

tactics - we were aimless as usual - no coherent plan picking out weaknesses in defence - just bailey trying to bust the centers

selections - simmons - aitken - surely the biggest selection disasters in sharks history

handling - dont we do skills training?

tackling - appaling - both tactically and technique

all these things have input by the coaching staff

players not up to first grade standard

nutley
hilder
bickerstaff
simmons

players barely borderline first grade

isemonger
bird

recruitment

f**k all

2005 doesnt look promising

No way in the world. What about Massey, Anderson and Dotti

It wasnt all simmons fault.
Tell me why he played on the wing that he hasnt played on all year?
One pass he got he should have caught, but it was a carrnt of a pass from someone that did not need to be there.
Why didnt they just play Goldy there?

simmons = -18 points for the night.

fugg me I'm angry.

Hilder, is this a gee up? He leads the most tackles in our team and is second in the entire comp for most tackles. The rest of those players, I agree with.

isemonger
bird

I would have Hilder all over Bird and possibly even Isemonger.

But he works hard, and plays above his weight.
Isn't that what we're looking for?
Sure I read somewhere here that's why Nutley is such an asset.

I don't think its his job to be a hard man. As a hooker he gives fine ball distribution, tackles his arse off and never makes any big blunders. When was the last time you shook your head and though "Hilder.. what the f**k were you thinking?"

He works, works and works. With the salary cap, its impossible to have a team of superstars and Hilder is the sort of tireless, error-free workhorse you want to have filling in the gaps.

Add to that his obvious ability with a ball in his hands (although how often do we see it with Noddy dictating the play?) and its clear that you're either mentioning his name to stir the pot, or you've truly lost your mind...!!

Yep, Hilder is one of the few positives from the last 2 years. I like his ability to score tries - 15 tries in 2 years isn't shabby, more than Priddis, Wing and Smith, and only 2 less than Buderus. And from memory most have been from about 10m out, where our forwards have always struggled previously.

by that standard capn dread - every player is great

we do not suffer from player depth

the only reason he should be tolerated is he can actually kick goals and can pass the ball from dummy half

great

Hilder is a fine player.
I hope he stays injury free next year & builds/consolidates on an impressive year this year.
Very much a player in the Greg Peirce mould.

gotta get behind waltzing sorry miller's, what were you thinking ? hilder's been one of the true shining lights to come thru the dimness of the past 2 seasons. as for the rest of it that's pretty much on point.

the real problem with many of the players who are letting us seems to me to be consistency - they can manage a few good games but can't maintain it over a whole season. obviously there are others who can barely manage 5 minutes without stuffing up completely but either way it just ain't good enough.

can't say 2005 is working me up into a lather of expectation either. once again the highlight of the year will be reading the previous years pompous, self-congratulatory drivel on the dragons forum after they cop another bath in the semis. hoo-farkn-ray :?

Millers is throwing blame around to all of the emerging talent so as to deflect from the one(s) who really deserves to be criticised.
The $18,000.00 per match people.
