To be honest I can't blame Badger. It 100% falls on the touch judge.

Badger has been instructed to let play flow if an incident is in back play by the NRL, unless directly asked by a touch judge, pocket red or doctor to stop.

He has to rely on his touchies in that situation because play must go on, but apparently the touchies have directly ignored the request of the trainer's to stop the game because they needed to hear it from the doctors. But the doctors are obviously occupied tending to Nene so it's f**king dumb

Touchie should have clearly seen the situation warranted stopping and related this to badger, who at his position could not stop the game.

Badger is an overall good ref. Nobody's perfect as it's a very hard game to referee but he's in the higher tier of what we've got

If you watch it back the runner was more worried about Asiata that he was of nene with his foot at right angles lol
