So what happens if we keep getting 6 agains

I don't want the 6 again rule anymore, it's more suited to the English SL in any case; with the greater intensity and physicality in the NRL having kicks downfield was a good thing, and then it came down to the teams who could execute their passing or kicking plays the best in the opposition 20m area. And as we know Cronk, Slater and Smith were the best at it.

The English SL is sometimes a a glorified form of touch footy, have you seen Jai Field churning up SL this year? Hahahahaha, Jai frikin FIELD, haha, deeree me. So just carrying on the play in England just suits it, it just carries on as normal.

FFS just get rid of the 6 again rule.

It was an ill-thought-out, stupid, idea that failed to fix the problems it was introduced to fix, and created a whole host of new problems that have increasingly made the game an unwatchable mess.

What makes things worse is that most of the problems that the 6 again rule was introduced to fix could have been mitigated simply by enforcing the old rules as they were intended. Giving no leeway to teams that pushed the boundaries would have been enough to force coaches to change their game plans to something more appealing.

This isn't even a genuine effort to fix anything. It's a dogshit attempt to dodge admitting defeat re: the six again rule.

The 6 again is fine , it has a role in the game. The game isn't the stop start wrestle infested dog it was a few years ago & the record TV ratings prove fans are watching & enjoying the product.

No further changes are required with the exception of referees having some idea about the game they're officiating

I can see why he wants to bring it in, I mean if it's a deliberate foul just before the siren there is probably no point in binning someone for a couple of tackles, and binning someone will run down the clock.

If there is only a couple of plays left then it's 2 again rather than 6 again, but what's wrong with a penalty ffs ?

We have enough rule changes as it is.

The original goal was to not allow teams to reset their line

Which it has done

But as we ALL called out, what happens when a deliberate 6 again is called in a tight contest game.

Everyone knows you need to have 3 6-agains to finally get a penalty from repeat infringements

Because what happens in this scenario

10 sec on the click - we get a 6 again

Then 30 sec after FT siren we get another 6-again. I assume the set continues

Then we get a 3rd 6 again which become a penalty and a sin-bin. If you are 1 or 2 points behind you take the 2

If you are 3 or more behind, you take tap. 6 more tackles and you keep giving away 6 agains until either the team drops it or they score

Noting that the pressure grows on the referee to keep calling the 6 agains and sin bin players

Of course you have to ask would this also apply to halftime and golden point
