New 6 again rule proposal

Agree 100%

It's way to big a penalty in most instances.

Best solution IMO is go back to 6 tackles but you get the ball from where the opposition kicked it with the minimum starting point the 20m line. That punishes negative kicks whilst not over punishing grubbers that trickle dead, knock ons etc.
Absolutely stupid idea. A near perfect kick trying to pin the opposition in their own end that rolls one time too many onto the line isn't a negative kick. It's a well planned kick that doesn't quite come off. The defending team shouldn't get an extra 20 or 30m for that. Should have never been 7 tackles in the first place.

yep another knee jerk stupid rule. Better would have been to let defending team quick tap it even if their own players werent behind the 20m. Would have put a stop to the big hoof down field dead so they could get their defensive line sorted and brought more attack into the game.

If it goes over the dead ball line it's a shit kick.

Disagree. Long kicks trying to pin the other side is negative, boring play. Too prevalent. How can you call it “well planned” when almost every set ends that way and the opposition know to a certainty it is coming? They are usually off the back of a set of hit ups.
It’s playing for the other side to make an error rather than making something happen with the ball eg running on the last. So get it right or else pay a big price.

Do you prefer kicking straight to the winger or fb?

Pretty sure T Boon would prefer a new set of tackles every time the attacking team made a certain amount of territory.

Perhaps every ten metres, although the defensive line will no longer need to get back ten metres from the ruck. Also reduce to four tackle sets.

Potentially a single forward pass per play should be allowed.

How could you forget multiball?
