In the interest of heading off any ill-feelings, I'm asking all captains to please refrain from recruiting players currently playing in the finals.

I support the notion that forummers should only play with their team of choice and that no one 'owns' any players. But I also know that there is a competition still going. Its only a game but it still takes effort and the competing captains can do without the distractions.

The Grand Final fulltime is Wednesday night, the 22nd of October.

I think it's fair enough to say that after October 23rd, its open season.

I know what you mean but as long as its been announced then no one can say they didnt know.
It also means that we have something to work with when the same problem happens next year.

I can see that people are keen and rearing to go and thats to be applauded. But nothing is going to happen until the current competition is over. And no new teams or matches will happen without management discussion.

I'm just asking for a bit of self control until after the grand final. Its not long away.

Ok Mate, Agreed and heard Clearly. Matt23, Who is currently playing for Panthers will not be a Rhino until October 23rd. hopefully Mick gives him a run in the GF if they make it.

Too late. :) Only because the Pirates are my old team will I be changing teams at the completioin of the season. Until then, I will do my best t assist in beating the Panthers and Newtown (if we get to play Newtown again)

I wasn't actually referring to you Lord. We already knew you were leaving. It was a case of letting the captain of the team that is sending PM's to people to play for their team know that the rest of the Easts players are off limits and, seeing as they are still playing, come under the anti tampering rule.

I think we always knew that this was going to be almost impossible to police but its the sort of thing people have been requesting... that is to urge new team captains to do the right thing by those teams still competing.

What it does do is give us some feedback as to how to deal with such problems in the 2004 season.

in my defense, nibblet and thierry started the team with me. it was an equal 3-way thing. lord also approached us, not the other way around. but i can see the problem now, and we should've waited til the season was over before announcing anything. i guess we [the pirates] were just too enthusiastic

dude don't worry about it, i understand totally.

I said what i said out of haste, and mainly out of your reaction when i said hold the phone and you said "well sorry you had to find out this way" with an uncalled for emotion at the end. Thats what set me off. But i have spoken to both theirry and nibblet, and i accept their decisions, because as u said, i only got them because the pirates folded, they had no interest in being panthers before that. I just hope, should you follow the same fate, which i don't think you will, they will consider us again, we'd love to have them back

All the best at the pirates, and also you you as captain halfy.

Well I wouldn't put it so strongly Mick. I was literally 5 minutes from joining the Panthers when the Pirates were formed the first time around, and I've had a great time playing for youse here at LU. But in the end, yes, it would be fair to say that the Pirates are my team.

But that would have been so un-pirate like. And remember how you said we would be in the spotlight come the last few games of the season (or something along those lines) Well...you were right. :lol: :lol: :lol:

That was similar to me. I was about to side with the Panthers after being approached by them, Eels, Sharks also I think and someone else before the Pirates came in. But now, Roosters are ahead of the Panthers on my list should problems occur with the Pirates.

There will be no problems lord reynoldson. We have you and theirry has world class posters, and the rest of the team is preety damn solid. And we have a possible new signing about the way.
