Guys your thoughts on this? John Howard Is a mad Dragons fan, would bring credability as a former PM, respected on both sides of politics, maybe bring some extra corporate clout also? I see this as first step to overhaul the Club and the Bruce Gorden thing needs to be sorted out quickly?

Would be better than Doust + has contacts. Only downside would be his age in terms of longevity.

Mark Coyne has great credentials and would be an excellent fit.

If not him Benji IMO would be a great figure head for our club and would attract kids, TPA's and a better class of player and staff.

Even though I don't rate him so highly as a player at this end of his career he does have something to offer and he is a lot smarter than dopey Doust.

John Howard? The only good thing about this old coot is that he follows the dragons. Maybe he can spread a lie that Lafai/Havili/Farrell have thrown their child off a boat to get their contracts annulled?

First question: has he signed the petition?

If yes, second question: when can he start?

In all seriousness, he wouldn't be able to do it because notwithstanding his age, Johnny is a busy old boy.

Nevertheless, a little Johnny would go a long way and we need all the help we can get.

It gets brought up from time to time.

Johnny Howard already has enough quidmakers in his corner, Saints are just a door that opens for him when he wants a good seat.

If people want a new chairman or CEO (that's right, they are not the same), find someone who actually has some genuine passion for the heritage and history of the club. Howard does not fit the bill.

Mark Latham?
I thought he was too aggressive to be a politician, but he may make a good league administrator.
Otherwise Mark Coyne, but I think he is too busy running an insurance company at the moment.
Brad Mackay and Brian Smith could also be handy.

For the good folk who are still rooting for Johnny...

Yes I thought as much , as you said whenever he wanted a decent seat .
He was there in the Grand Finals , grinning like a demented Goblin with the cameras centered on his manical face .
What a horrible sight that was , enough to give decent people nightmares .
However I also would like to see someone like Mark Coyne in the top job , as long as he has the business nous required to perform and succeed at that level .
Himself and other suitably qualified people to take the Club into a new era of success , both on and off the field .

I'd love to have Brian Johnstone back as CEO, or even Mark Coyne

Mark Coyne, no chance as currently in a GM role at Insurer Employers Mutual.

Brian Johnstone left just after half time watching the Dragons V Tigers game... Not the signs of someone who would want to be appointed CEO.

In saying all the above, I am for either if it was remotely possible
