i sound slack dont i? sorry but last time i heard him speak it was like he sounded like Heatherington after 15 schooners.

Just saw (most of) the interview on NRL on Tactics:

Flano came across quite well.

Pretty much confirmed that Trent will retire at seasons end. If he does play on it will be with us, not the Eels. Expect an announcement soon.

Confirmed our problem area is the halves.

Recruiting wise, talking to Noddy, Gordon and Smith. Hope to hear about some signings in the next few weeks.

Gal will be captain next year.

Trent is out injured this week (shoulder).

He has a two year deal to coach the side.

They were some of the points I can remember.

He spoke reasonable well.

looked a bit nervous.

probably still getting used to being in the media.

When questioned whether we was in the Ricky Stuart mould he quickly said there is massive differences in how they see things.

Actually said Brian Smith at Parramatta probably influenced him more when he was coaching the lower grades there.

But put in the 'polite comment' Ricky has been really good too. Hahaa...

When asked about previous signings of Ricky's that didn't work out playing in N.S.W/NYC he said yes they have been very inconsistent and but I suppose they were looking for an opportunity. And Ricky gave them one.

Said we should have some good news about signings in the next week or two.

Didn't say we were at the cap....

Andy Raymond mentioned Noddy, Smith and Gorden being linked to us, Flano said it would be nice to have them all but didn't actually say we were talking to them

He didn't confirm nor deny we were talking to anyone but had a slightly confident smirk on his face about announcing things in a weeks or two. I was cool with it.

I like how he shyed away a bit with the Ricky comparisons. Looks like he is distancing himself as much as possible to me.

I also thought he knows something about Barrett, perhaps he thinks he may of convinced him for 1 more year.

As much as I don't like the bloke (Barrett), if we don't have an ace up the sleeve, it'll be our best bet.

Flanno came across alright.

Thought it was quite funny.

Probably been promising players that he's not a Ricky clone for fear that no one would come to us like in the past.
