A new pro league is opening up in the states that sounds ok. Given it wont rival the NFL but be a nice little earner if you can land a spot. A guy I played with out here is going to try out, he's a gun player so with any luck he'll make it. If not he'll just have to keep his day job on the Purdue football staff... :sarcasm:

Absoloutly you can say XFL, although why you would I have no idea. The XFL was to football what WWE is to actual sport. Nothing.

The Euro league is a developmental league. It serves a purpose in giving a broader range of people (that being Europe) a chance to play in the NFL as well as a platform for letting young drafted guys show their wares hone their skills. Esentially it's a metro league for Gridiron.

The AFL was also bagged when it began but is now begining to flourish & garner an ever growing fan base. This new league will essentially be a US based Euro style league allowing guys a chance to be semi-pro with a chance to be picked up at a later date. I think it has merit if done right. Hell, the CFL was hammered, & still is, by the Americans but thats been running in some sort of form since the early 1900's so dont believe all the things the seppos have to say.
