Lost and running the new single.

They are sticking to a successful formula.
Has some nice smooth riffs and Fanning's restraint in the vocals in the first half are a nice change.

I don't mind it too be honest.
It is pretty easy to pick up on....probably be another squillion dollar seller for them.

They played a secret gig at the zoo in brisbane last night under the name Denim Venim. Was gonna go to check out their new stuff but couldn't convince any mates at late notice. Personally i didn't like his solo stuff and this song seems to pretty much be more tea and sympathy. They've had good songs since the brilliance of double allergic and internationalist but on the whole its all getting a bit pedestrian now.

Fanning was on JJJ yesteday.
Jay made me laugh when he said they he isn't a powderfinger fan but doesn't mind this one.

Even Fanning got a laugh.'

I didn't bother with his solo stuff.

Only heard it once so I need to give it a few more listens. I do prefer there earlier stuff and am also one that didnt take to fannings solo stuff....how it one the JJJ hottest 100 that year is beyond me.

It really sounds just like their last few albums. It is all quite boring - but the radio listeners will lap it up. It will be huge on commercial radio and that will get them across the line for H100 this year.

In saying that I don't think it is a bad song...it is just a safe song.

I was actually singing along to the chorus on the first listen.

Those are the two albums that they went boring! Internationalist is where it's at.

Ive heard it a few times now and Carch your dead right about Fannings vocals.
Its ok but a little dull.

Double Allergic was a great album and there last few have been boring compared to it in my opinion.
