Launch of leaguetv.com.au
Written by: League NewsMay 22nd, 2008 4:10pm
The NSW Cup competition, the open-age feeder comp to the NRL, will have its own dedicated website from today, following the official launch of
www.leaguetv.com.au.
In a world first for a major rugby league competition,
www.leaguetv.com.au will feature a full 80 minute video call of the NSW Cup match of the round.
The websites match commentator Darren Flynn said the new site would provide the competition with the exposure and publicity it deserved.
"The NSW Cup competition is probably the third strongest rugby league competition in the world, but to date, it hasn’t enjoyed widespread coverage.
"All that is set to change though, with the launch of leaguetv.com.au. We’ll not only provide a full call of the NSW Cup match of the round, we’ll also be posting interviews with players, coaches and administrators.

"This is the website NSW Cup supporters have been waiting for", Mr. Flynn said.
The site, which has the backing of the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) will also feature up-to-date news, fixture lists and competition ladders.
So far the following five videos are available to download:· Central Newcastle Knights v. Wests Magpies· Norths v. Balmain Ryde-Eastwood· Balmain Ryde-Eastwood v. Wests Magpies· Norths v. Newtown· Newtown v. Manly
Later this week (Wednesday night) the clash between North Sydney and the Central Coast Storm will be available to view.
"I think people might be surprised by the standard of play on offer in the NSW Cup.
"I urge all supporters of rugby league to visit the site and take a look at the next breed of rugby league players, many of whom will go onto bigger and brighter things in the NRL", Mr. Flynn said

Looks like a great concept. If you tab onto the team icons on the homepage you are immediately diverted to that particular clubs home website. www.leaguetv.com.au
