Anybody casually glancing through this forum could easily come to the conclusion that it's full of loons. Unfortunately the number one motivator for people to post is when the are displeased with something, hence the negative slant this place takes often takes, which is amplified by the anonymous nature of the internet.

But while the signal to noise ratio of this forum may heavily favour noise, there is some brilliant discussions that occur that make it well worthwhile wading through the drek.

i dont think russell crowe thinks to highly of him either, on last nights footy show i thought he was going to snap because voss just kept interuptihng during conversations and annoying him with a dvd but crowe was great stayed really calm making voss look stupid.

Forums are great for the discussion of ideas and can provide an excellent source of information and entertainment.

However, they are also chock and block full of absolute bloody sh*te, people trying to be funny and failing and morons with an agenda or chip on their shoulder crapping on about nothing.

So all in all, this forum is about 50% more useful than the Thursday night footy show.

In all honesty, I'd like to hear what he actually said because people have a tendency to take things out of proportion or the wrong way.
Actors get it constantly, they didn't stop and chat long enough or they didn't give the right 'look'.

This is a lovely forum and represents the fanbase of NRL.
But in saying that there are some disgusting and extremely offensive things posted here on a daily basis by people with a level of intelligence a 2 year old could rival.
Most of us hardcore posters come on here enough to be able to ignore and filter through the morons from the decent but someone like Vossy is going to log on and all he has to see is one post.

For example can you imagine logging in for the first time and seeing Byrne Rovelli Fan's dribble about women?

In saying that Vossy is fairly arrogant and probably can't be bothered talking about forums.

With all due respect to my fellow forumers, most of what goes on in forums is childish babbling, whinging and anonymous name-calling.

Intelligent, constructive discussion is definitely in the minority. It is completely understandable for "outsiders" to perceive forum users as footy nerds and tragics. A lot of forum users I've met are exactly that. A lot of forum users with thousands of posts (notice i'm not excluding myself from this) are completely incapable of socialising with their fellow human beings in traditional ways. Some of us can.

One thing that can't be questioned however is the passion that people on this forum have for the game. That is an invaluable thing.

Why should any of us give a sh*t what Voss's opinion of this forum is?
If he did read it, which im sure he and all the other nine boys have many times before, he would read a constant but deserved negative opinion of channel 9, the commentary team, the footy show and all of his friends and workmates.
It wouldnt suprise me at all that he didnt like us, but again, who gives a sh*t?

I read his post last night before he edited. This is what he said.. not quite word for word but close.

He said he went and talked to Vossy after the show and told him that he was part of a new internet forum. Vossy replied "the people who read and contribute to those forums are all a bunch of f**king nevilles." "Those ***** have no idea what they are talking about. Anyone with half a brain would stay away from them."

What Vossy apparently said sounded pretty abusive and unlike him judging from his on-air personality.

In saying that he was probably in a bad mood when Broncobuster spoke to him thanks to the way Crowe put him in his place. Sorry OP but if I had only read your edited post I'd feel frustrated wanting to know the convo haha

Well incorrect, you get more information about the team you follow here than you do anywhere else.

Clubs web sites are slow, Footy show does not really talk footy.

I find about my team, the players the make up of the team etc, from here because is can be a very good source.

bet they read here anyways.

If that's his opinion, well good for him. Most of us here have similar views on Sports journalists like Voss as he does on us.
