Woohoo!!!!Unlike 2017 now that we have hogdz hodz,(or whatever his nic is), there will be pressure to perform all positions, every game ,for the full 70 minutes. I Beleive Holmz will start at one and should do so. He may not be Barbz but who is apart from Barbz? On the off chance he happens to have gained some improvement in fullback play after world cup experience , Flannz has option to leave him there. Moylz would surely feel need to show some form at 5/8 unlike last yrs 5/8--- and likewise chadz at half..

Heres a wild speculation to throw into the "holmz is no good and should play wing" agreeathon... What if after 4 or 5 rounds he leads the comp in try assists ? He did say he wasnt interested in scoring a bucket load of trys himself ,or something like that. Would everyone still be calling for his head? Not saying he will But is that the main weekness in his game that needs to be fixed to be acceptable as fullback?

I think we will se a far better player in Holmes this year. He may not have set the world on fire last year but he finished with a strong kangaroo tour and SOO. Its all great experience for him and his confidence will be sky high too.

Good depth for injury
Or
Backup for chad & moyza failing?

Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see
Chadz and hogkz in halves
Moyz at fullback
And a very pissed off Valz back on the wing.

I haven't been following Hodgos form at all but if he is fit i'd be starting at half for sure. He has a good kicking game and brings some stability.

Moylan to FB, Holmes to wing.

He was dumped from the wooden spooners starting lineup. No running game, kicking game pretty average. Decent goal kicker...as long as it's within a certain distance.

Why do you think each of his previous teams didn't fight to keep him when other teams made offers? You'd be better off starting gallen at halfback

Well he has never been a noted runner of the ball. The Knights shouldn't have bought him if they wanted that type of a half. He is more an organiser than a runner.

I'd still give a him a shot with us where he isn't expected to carry the entire team.

Bulldogs put wanted Mbye / Reynolds halves pairing. Knights realised they bought the wrong type of half.
