Now that the club has signed Cannings,Muckert and Musprat ,we should have a bit more depth next year in the pigs.Chris Armit should be improved and Toulios should continue to develop.
Now if we can just get someone to take Dykes off our hands and get a rocket up Vella,s clacker ,things should really look up.

I still think the Eels need one more decent forward and outside back. Sean Rutgerson is off contract from Canberra and made a superb match saving tackle on Mark Gasnier yesterday. He would add size and depth to the Eels pack and is a much better player than Vella, who has to be the most overrated hack to ever lace up a boot.

you,re right about needing another forward but Rutgerson is not the answer-we,re pretty right for ordinary players, thanks.

It gets better and better.Wise Kativerata, fresh from his record breaking efforts at Souths and tyhe Dragons, has been signed to ocuppy a wing spot at Parra where he will no doubt perform deeds which will make Ken Irvine and Brian Bevan look ordinary.
Corey Pearson whose front-row performances are reminiscent of Atrtie Beetson and Brian Mc TIgue, has been released by the Tigers who realise it is unfair to stand in the way of Pearson,s rise to greatness.
Eric Grothe and Wade Mc Kinnon have both been sent the same telegram
"all is forgiven,please come home.
Love
mother "
Shit,I bet Centrebet have us as faves for 2004 already.

Geez, nice bit of wood turning. One of the better wooden spoons I,ve seen.
No wonder Souths guard it so carefully.

Ummm isn't that spoon currently sitting in the Cheaturbury Trophy Cabinet?

A few of those signings could be good and hopefully next year we'll have better luck with injuries. We must re-sign Dunley ASAP.

I think Parra will go better than they have this year which means they will be back in the top eight at least. Cannings is big and once the dead wood like Dykes are cleaned out, Parra can have another crack at the title.

legend, I'd have Burt at fullback with Lyon and Vaealiki in the centres and Grothe and Peterson on the wings.

My side would be something like this for next year

1. Ashley Graham or Luke Burt
2. Eric Grothe jr
3. Jamie Lyon
4. David Vaealiki
5. Matt Peterson
6. Chris Thorman
7. Michael Witt
8. Aaron Cannings
9. Lee Hopkins
10. Michael Vella
11. Nathan Cayless
12. Nathan Hindmarsh
13. Daniel Wagon

14. John Morris
15. David Solomona
16. Chris Muckett
17. Craig Stapelton

On stand by as we known injuries will occur is

18. Dean Widders
19. Chris Armit
20. Justin Tsolous
21. Shane Muspratt
22. Adam Dykes
23. James Webster

It's a pretty hard side to pick!!

I think Morris has to be in the run on side as hooker. I'd have to find room for Widders somewhere too. I'd pick Widdrs before Solomona actually.

The only problem with Widders is his cosistency!!, he has the knack of being very quiet in games......i'd actually move him to center.....that's where he's been the most dangerous at for Parra this year!!,

Morris on the bench is only an experiment....which all know Brian loves!!, Maybe Thorman to the bench and Morris to 5/8.....i feel Hopkins would be good to start the game at hooker and then be interchanged with a quicker man after about 20 minutes eg Brad Drew, Dunley etc!!

thats a great team there :D

thats a better back line than we had in 2001,i would put burt at fullback with grothe on 1 wing, then let sideshow and ash fight out the other wing.
if our forwards do the job next yr we will have the best backline in the comp by a country mile.

I thank god that our 05 team will not be anything like that team in 04, im mean: Hopkins, Stapleton, Peek, Thorman, Witt- what were we thinking. No wonder why we finished 12th.
