I thought Latham's innings cost us. 15 years ago that would have been a great knock, with the advent of T20 you can just see the scoreboard pressure getting to his partners. We needed to be at 220-230 when the second ball arrived to have a good shot at a lead of 50-100.

Latham is tough but maybe too tough for his own good. Can be an actual limpet, just refuses to rotate the strike at times.

I wouldn't say he's a problem but he could definitely improve that part of his game

Weird that runners are not allied, subs can’t bowl or bat… yet a specialist keeper can now sub, and Saha is allowed to bat ( I think) in his normal spot and likely not field again… is what it is, but about as consistent as our COVID rules…

Some b.s. rules in cricket Saha is allowed to bat after basically resting for two days, no doubt he wont keep in NZ's second innings.
Yet we wouldn't have been able to replace Southee with his injury.
