News on New Rugby League Game? Mario?

its been quite a while since anyone has asked about if a new rugby league is being made or not, im not asking if it is being made or not my question is are we any closer to a decision or how long till we find out?

Just an idea, rather than releasing it at the end of 2005 when it will be imediantly outdated, release early on in the 2006 season, so all playing rosters, jersey's etc are up to date right away.

Good idea and you will probably get more people buying it as it's Footy season. Well it's about to start.

Whether they make the best or worst game it wont worry me, It will still be the 'best' game simply because it is League .

Anyway ill be hoping for a late October/mid November release next year, so I still get to be involved with League in one way or the other.

And after playing 3 good games, ill be hoping for them to look at 3 games in particular

1. Madden 2004/2005 - For it great modes, selection of teams, and the way it tracks stats.

2. World Championship Rugby - For how good the gameplay is, eg. once I did a Buderus style pass where a threw the pass really quick to the winger for a try, and also for the classic matches that are there e.g. 2001 grand final, win the game in 2 min etc.

3. Pro Evolution Soccer 3 - The way this game uses statistics for players and Season is great, create a player, similar training mode.

And thats all I can think of, off the top of my head anyway. And looking really forward for January now . Good Luck Mario.

But wouldn't you think that this time, knowing how to do it from previous experiance, they could 'make' the game quicker?

They are going to announce that they have been secretly been working on the sequel for the past year and are going to release it in March!

dont bet on it champ......

if you think back to diablo II how many years did it take to make? and they already had previous experience and a game engine built

i know diablo II is a completely different game and technology wasnt as advanced back then, i just dont think its a good idea to get your hopes up this early thats all
