WWE GETS GREAT NEWS FROM SUMMERSLAM, NOT SO GREAT NEWS ON UNFORGIVEN
by Dave Scherer @ 2:14:00 PM on 9/14/2005

WWE got some good news with the SummerSlam buyrate. The early number came in at around 530,000 buys, which is the highest number that the show has done in years. The company hard-sold Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan for the show, and it worked at the box office.

On the other hand, plenty of good seats remain for this Sunday's Unforgiven PPV. WWE.com is listing seats being available in all sections except the ringside/top priced area. ... Thanks to Renn for his help with that story.

Interestingly enough, the WWE have also bought out their Taboo Tuesday PPV poster, and again, like Summerslam, it has given away results from Unforgiven.

Don't think they're going to get good news regarding the unfirgiven PPV. Apart from the Angle Cena match the card would barely make a good Raw episode.

Angle Cena has been done many many times. I still cant believe they didnt run with Cena v HBK which could have been followed by an awesome HBK vs Angle feud. Cena v HBK would have been new and fresh, and HBK has now lost some of his shine from the Hogan Heel episode by being ridiculously paired with Masters. Who in the world had the idea to build up the Masterlock Challenge for months and months, only to have it broken by the smallest guy on the roster? Absolutely ridiculous.

i'd still like to know how the poster gives away any results.

Well, it shows Cena and Angle side by side, still feuding over the title. Since Bischoff's involved and he's feuding with Cena, it seems fair to assume that Cena's still involved because he's still the champion.

not really, id think there is a decent chance Angle wins, with Cena having a re-match clause

errrrr ...

:?

hardly 'giving away' the result. there's still lots of assumptions, insinuations and speculation. in fact, i'd go as far as to say there has been no revelation whatsoever, apart from the continuation of the feud.
