Hey all, I’m trying to buy a mate a Newtown Jets retro jersey for his birthday. I’m going to be up in Sydney on Saturday. I was wondering if the Local Derby (its on Kings St. right?) would be my best go (does anyone have any idea of their business hours)? If not, where should/could I get him one?

Try Local Derby. If not, try the Jets Sports Club on Holbeach Ave in Tempe. It's off the Princes Hwy on the city side of the Cooks River Bridge.

I was in Local Derby a while ago and the bloke there was telling me that they don't sell jerseys as they are a "street wear" shop... Not a typical footy shop.

So... if it's not too far out of your way, I'd say that you'd be better off going to the Jets Sports Club as your money will be going to the Jets rather than some dodgy looking charactor...

The Sports club is your best bet but don't be in a hurry as you may need to ask the bar staff if it is quiet as the office is not always attended. The club has a bigger range than local derby which is always promoted to buy your gear at but lacks the range.

HPH it does not matter where you buy the official jets gear at as the club gets its commission anyway but not all the sale rice.
