Ths Sunday folks its a BrendotheJet Double Header as Newtown heads to Snape Park.
Kicking off at 12:10 is the Under 11's match vs Maroubra. The under 11's are fresh off a Round 1 victory (their first since 2004) and under the new coaching regime are having plenty of fun and coming along in leaps and bounds.
Every single kid in this team has put in 100 percent and I believe by making training fair and fun the kids are learning a lot more than by being yelled at.
This match should test their focus as they are all sugared up from the Easter Show (Seriously training was a nightmare on tuesday! lol)
After this match is a curtain raising A Reserve match before the big boys come to town.
A Grade: Newtown vs Maroubra.
This should be a close one. Maroubra fielded a decent side last year and have trialed well so far.
The game will be won and lost in defence. Newtown has had the abillity to score tries at will for the past couple of seasons but it is our pressure cooker defence that has at times let us down.
Kick off is 2:50
I encourage everyone to don the Royal Blue and get down to Snape Park to see the Junior Jets carry on the proud tradition of the club as we march on towards Under 11's and A Grade victory!!!
