hey guys i was just wondering what are the format for Newtown's junior legaue teams? what are the age groups?(eg u/21s) Is there an U/19s comp? because a big group of Students from Christian brothers high school lewisham and coach Noel Donohue are looking at having a team in this competition next year. Lewisham is in the local area for the jets and it would be great if there was a competition to accomodate us for 2007 any info would be appreciated

The Newtown Junior teams such as the Junior Jets, St Peters, Camperdown, Marrickville RSL play in the Souths Juniors. It might be a good idea to contact the Junior Jets to get more information.

It would be great if Lewisham get a few teams going again. If that happens it might be possible for some of your games against the other Newtown sides previously mentioned to be be played at Henson Park before the Premier League.

More Newtown Junior teams would indicate to the Roosters that the partnership is working and that there are new recuiting opportunities available.

Noel Donohue is involved with the Newtown JRLFC, based out at Tempe and playing in the Souths District.

Newtown JRLFC's success is not attributable to the Roosters, more to the good work of the Junior committee and Bumper Dwyer who publicise the club very well.

I never said that Newtown's Junior success was attributable to the Roosters!

I suggest you read it more carefully! LOL

There could be. Usually is I think. It depends on how many teams register in a particular year.

bb43, sorry I misinterpreted your post.

Look, this is not to discredit BUmper's work to promote the jets because it is brilliant.

BUT!

It is the dedicated team at the Juniors who spread the word, find the players, make it happen.

You'd be lucky if Bumper buys you a f**king beer at the club ;) lol!

Bumper always buys a beer to the A grade top defender, you may not be aware BTJ as it is for tackles made not missed, hence your lack of free beer.

a windmill???

Well bumper can poach all the talent he wants from the a grade team.

The reason he leaves me is because without me the team would disintegrate. Foundation, rock, heart, soul are all words that are frequently used (by me) to describe me.

ITs a tough job but someones gotta do it.

BTJ,
AKA Victor Chang, always looking for a new heart, runs like a rock, the foundation is true though Brendo except with big cracks in it and who can forget the soul, the aaah soul.
Can sing though, gotta give you credit for that. except it does not help you tackle. You have been described by your teammates as the the best entertaining, like watching an under 6 player in A grade, running the wrong way, passing to no one.

A true entertainer.

BB,

I'll take any compliment I can get, no matter how backhanded.

I mean, if you were to put my heart onto a computer file and try and upload it the entire Internet couldn't hold it.

True, if you put my defence on the internet 100000 hard disks would probably turn floppy....

Either way, can't wait for the season to start so the try scoring floodgates can open up.

Many an opponent has had to hang their head to the ground after gifting me an intercept and watching the two rampaging bulls that are my legs streak me away to the tryline. Or the defenders who've been left spinning in circles as I jink and weave my way to the try line, toying with them, offering myself up to be tackled only to step of that lighting left onto the right.

In short, breathtaking.
