What about next week after a bad display in defence today how do you think we will go against the premiers this week. and by the way will we be full strength next week if all goes well in origin. And is anyone back for penrith next week.

I wouldn't panic mate, we had all 4 of our senior players out. I have feeling Garbo will get his wish and Gower will be back, dunno about Campbell and Girdler.

They have a giant pack though so let's pray Stevo is back and fit.

I have no idea why we tried to go up the middle tonight, surely they know that Canberra rule the middle of the ruck.

i think girdler will be back and gower i think is a certainty. We were totally awful tonight and canberra were ordinary also. We have alot of work to do but a loss like tonight will keep them on their toes

Was our defence really bad? I think in the second half it was poor but in the first alright, we spent 64% of our time in First half in our half so to only be 16 - 0 down was ok. Our attack was crap in the first half however. Then in the second it switched completely around :?

The Raiders do have a huge pack and they steamrolled us thru the middle tonight but their backline is pretty crap, they should have scored a hundred tries with the way the forwards were going and all the penalties Bailey gave them.

Yes, it was obvious early on that their forward pack would dominate, with some big driving hits on our players. With the platform they set and to not capitalise Canberra should be a bit worried.

Yeah in the first half they pounded us and we were running round like browns cows in attack but it all changed when Sully was shifted to hooker and Aitken came on to play half, we were a different team.

Only seen Newton play 1 game last year and he went alright then, so if he's progressed since then and is a better player than JW I'll agree with you Hulka but it's a bit hard for me to judge a player who's playing PL from up here in queensland. All I'm saying on this matter is how the hell did Beatie get picked to play when clearly there are better players running around in the lower grades.

he obviously shouldn't be in first grade then. He was there for size to make up for losing Stevo and his a bigger man than JW.

I don't get why white pointer is so upset though. Kimmorley, Peachey, Stevo = our best and then Gallen and Bailey playing hurt :? geez you must really rate the PL backline whitey :lol:

Hmmm... we haven't exactly set the world on fire in the last couple of weeks, but I think we get Gower and Campbell back next week, as well as our five Origin players (injury permitting).

Your mob will make it a good match well worth watching next week. Take away tonights performance (which I must admit I have not seen), and the last coupe of months have been pretty good.

Coming against the premiers... still love that!

JW should hav been their. We lacked a forward who had some speed and hit the line hard, Beattie ran soft at them more than likely because he was coming off injury and Nutley went ok. Both forwards did offload to many something that JW does well and be really needed

Nutley took a solid hit in the first half and was in wonderland, he played okay though. Beattie was just making up the numbers.
