Next years Line-Up?

I think that losing Crocker & Cayless will impact us dearly. Ricketson is definately getting on, & its showing. Walker is far too much a liability to have running around in First Grade. Webb was solid, but L'Estrange i believe has more potential (crisper cleaner passes n bullocking dummy half runs). Firman was a no-show. Compare our line-up next year WITH Cayless & Crocker to the one without them (enclosed in []):

Although the extra spaces gives more room for our youth to come through, the line-up with Crocker & Cayless looks far more solid. Flannery & Tupou look far better off the bench (Flannery for utility value & Tupou for impact) than in the run-on team. Unless Tupou, Fa'aoso, big Charlie Tonga (hopefully we unearthed a diamond in the rough), any of the 3 Paea's, & the rest of the young'uns step up, we might be in for another tough year.

Anyone else have news on possible signings? or young'uns coming through the ranks who might get a first grade spot next year?

Well, we've signed Daniel Dumas who I'd imagine must figure in our plans for first grade. At this stage, we're looking a little light on for props for next year. As you said, hopefully Tonga will be of some value, but I'm not too confident.

no L'Estrange & Fa'aoso (who have been regulars for us this year)? thats a pretty big call. Schubert is brilliant though, & so is Hannant, future stars, but i don't know whether they are in a class above Mickey Paea when he is on fire. heard from sources that 'Sia Soliola might fill in at second row if injuries occur, giving Lelea Paea, Gavin Lester (if he stays) or Michael Lett an oppurtunity.

As far as I'm aware, L'Estrange, Schubert and Hannant are only signed until the end of this season. Not sure what we're doing about them for next year and beyond. Given that Webb is gone, I'd imagine we might want to keep L'Estrange. I'd have Fa'aoso in the squad somewhere.
