i had problems with my internet server during the draft and it stuffed up me up big time, causing the computer to make the first half of my picks.

i hated my team during the draft but after seeing it a day later i have warmed up to it. great rbs and wrs, top notch te and def, if warner pans out for me i should be a lock to win the league.

Well I got the dropkicks part right:

Kerry Collins
Ahman Green
Steven Jackson
Donald Driver
Steve Smith
Randy McMichael
Nate Kaeding
Redskins

David Carr
Moe Williams
Ricky Williams
Lee Evans
Keyshawn Johnson
Broncos

Kerry Collins will be a very handy QB this year - but the freaking computer shouldnt have gone for him in round 1 when McGahee was still there!

Im liking Ahman and Jackson at RB - that will be big, but you need depth if you have those 2 - and I have none of that. Ive taken a bolter on Ricky Williams in the blind hope he comes good after his suspension, and the way bennett is running I figured it was worth giving Moe Williams a spot. But id love a descent RB to put on my bench, I like to go with 3 running backs usually - but missing the draft ends that plan quick smart.

At receiver I have dribble. Driver and Smith are not starting receivers. They are both OK - but in other leagues they would both be on the bench for me. Unfortunately Driver was my first receiver the Computer went for. Im not thinking Lee Evans will do as much this year either so ill just have to hope he turns it on.

Randy McMichael is great at Tight End, one positive.

Oh and my defenses are very strong. Happy to have the Redskins starting - id start the Broncos in most leagues too so its handy having them on my bench - but defence is the one position you just dont need depth.

Overall - my team is crap.

haha.

the problem wasn't that the computer picked your team, the problem was you didn't pre rank your players.

i was at the draft but due to technical difficulties from my side the computer picked the first half of my team. however i had luckily preranked my players and pushed the qbs and defs down the list.

i still ended up with mcgahee and the edge with the 9th and 16th picks.

i have to say it was hilarious when the computer picked collins for you in the 1st round one pick before me.

And fair enough to. I am into the 6th year of a league with my mates that we take super seriously and so I put all my efforts into pre-ranking for that draft and just couldnt motivate myself to go through all that effort again for each league so was just planning on drafting depending on what was available on draft day.

For some reason I thought the draft was this Sunday and missed it and now am stuck with dribble. Ah well, Ill just have to hope for some good free agent pick ups during the season.

I'm a very keen Broncos fan and I haven't got any Broncos players on me team, so anyone who has a Denver player, there are trade opportunities available here.

Well you had a great chance to take Mike Anderson, but Ive just claimed him

Im mighty happy with that, what are the odds of a denver #1 running back sitting untouched in the free agent pool.

Bah, I did the prerankings that NFL.com had was the most common drafting as I knew I couldn't make the draft as I had to sleep after work. I think I am seriously going to struggle unless their are a few injuries early on and I'm quick enough to pick up replacements or some out of left field players appear.

man i was sweating out that mnf game. dunn was sitting on 100 yards just after the half but just managed another 10-20 yards the rest of the game.

the first week showed me that larry johnson is a must start every week because he is just too good to sit on the bench. he can do more with 10 carries than other rbs can do with 25 carries.

So many people have been saying that, but I still wouldnt be starting him if I had 2 quality running backs on my roster.

If Priest was out then it would be a completely different story, but stats like he put on in week 1 arent going to be a common thing.

one of my leagues i have got alexander, dillion, larry johnson and williams (TAMPA) trying it out for two spots.

and naturally the one thats got the permenent spot at the moment (alexander) scores the least.

i believe lj is a must start every week, especially when your stud rbs have bad matchups.

lj isn't relieving priest on third downs, he is on the field for a complete possession. the way the chiefs used them in the first game was priest on the field for 2 drives and lj for 1. so lj will be on the field for 3 or 4 drives during a game. that is a guarenteed td every game.

this week the edge faces the jaguars and mcgahee faces the bucs on the road. i wasn't tossing up about lj, with those matchups he is a lock to start.
