NFL Coverage?

I was just wondering which NFL Coverage people prefer, FOX Sports or ESPN? I think that ESPN covers it a little better than FOX does, thoughts?

I prefer the ESPN coverage admittedly but in the same sentence, FOX does a great job as well. ESPN I am a little more familiar with i.e the guys giving opinion and analysis.

I think ESPN does the NFL better, and oddly enough, Fox does the baseball better.

I hate it how ESPN is now an add on on Optus vision, I don't get it anymore.

The picture always comes out grainy on ESPN though. It's like watching tv through another tv. It shits me no end.

I dislike ESPN in general (too many ads.... and the same ads at that.. and those idiots on Sportscenter)) but they cover more games of interest for me. Perhaps that's only due to having MNF and Sunday Night games.
But I far prefer the pre-game show with JB, Terry, Howie and Jimmy over anything ESPN offers. UNfortunately Foxtel doesn't always show the Fox Pre-Game show. I guess cos sometimes they take only a 4pm US kickoff game.

I think Monday Night Countdown is the best show on ESPN, when it comes to football that is. Its basically a Sportscenter type show that is all about Football and leads into MNF. I cant understand how ppl dont like Sportscenter, Australia needs a show like this that is actually on primetime.

Agreed, i cant miss Monday Night Countdown either its a fantastic show, covers everything to do with the NFL and when its on you know MNF isnt far away!

Apart form the ads the other thing that annoys me about ESPN is the commentary. I mean I like Al Micheals but really dont like John Madden too much though. He knows his football and provides good analysis but ive never really warmed too him that much.

Monday Night Countdown is very good. Anyone see Irvin a couple weeks ago including himself in the best WR's? Funny.
Regarding Commentators, I can't stand Joe Theisman, he is so weak. Al Michaels is good. I'm enjoying hearing Pat Summerall back on. Probably due to familiarity.
Sportscenter would be better without some of the hosts... they're over the top and obnoxious. I also think most days it could be a 30 minute show.
But my main beef with ESPN is the amount of ad's they play and the same ones, over and over... like "The Auld Onion Bag".... and then when replaying the game they have the audacity to play the "due to time constraints we now move forward in this broadcast". If they didn't play the same ads so many times they wouldn't have to "move forward".

Chris Berman is a legend and piss funny to boot. I love the nickname he gives to players and his call "he - could - go - all - the - way" :lol:

Madden is one of th ebest commentators because he puts the game into simple terms so everyone can understand what's going on. I also love the fact he is scared of flying and goes to evry game in his big bus with his own chef. :lol:

To me Chris Berman sounds like he still has a hamburger stuck in his throat!
I think Terry Bradshaw is the best colour commentator (studio guy). He's not afraid to launch into someone.

His fastest 3 mins in NFL is great. Did you hear on Monday he called one guy up the sideline who got tackled inside the 10 "He - could - go - ALMOST all - the - way!!!" :lol: :lol:

lol yer berman is piss funny somtimes.. about espn and that "due to time constraints we must move on...." that is the one thing that pisses me off sooo much about espn. especially when its a broncos game.. That comes on after a set of ad's then after that announcment they continue on with ANOTHER lot of ads!!!
hummm but aye.. im just thankful i can watch football in the first place i guess :roll:
