I would have no idea, I have trouble finding things to buy for my friends, let alone someone who I don't even really know

northey, name your top 5 interests

As an example, I love the Knights, snorkelling, skiing, clothes the Knights. (Not sure if they are my top 5, but let's run with them.)

So,

Knights - bit hard to buy anything, maybe a season pass if I lived in Newcastle
snorkelling - too hard, I already have everything I need
skiing - also too hard, I have the clothing I need but skis would be prohibitively expensive
clothes - might be too hard to buy something I like and that fits. Maybe earrings
cooking - can't go wrong with a really great cookbook, or homewares

So northey, can you give me your top 5 so I have something to work with :D

I get out of that one by asking for the default surprise gift, which infuriates people but at least you don’t have to think about.

I'd be asking for a new car or something. Maybe a trip overseas to a ski resort to get the last of the Northern Hemisphere's winter stashes.

If not a helicopter. But not a big one, something versatile and easy to land like an OH6.

Ask for money & see how much your friends give you.

That should show you how much they value your friendship. ;-)

Last person who didn't get me anything for my birthday got blasted big time!

Probably due to the fact it was my 21st birthday and all...

I didn't realise you live in Annerley! My friend lives there and we're always getting visits from the cops coz of loud music hehe, hope you don't live close enough to have to put up with our noise! :) It's bad when people 3 streets away complain. :?

northey I reckon the best presents are just spending time with your friends. The girls' day out sounds fun. :) Memories are often better than actual material gifts. Well that's according to me anyway haha. I never expect presents from anyone ... I'm happy if everyone just comes to my party and has a drink with me! :alcho:
