OK so this is going to sound stupid, but I LOVE my Festiva hatchback.

I gained a new appreciation for her on the weekend - she made it to the snow on the weekend, with the following:

3 people
3 sets of luggage
3 snowboards
1 set of skis
4 pairs of boots
And with fuel economy of well less than 7 litres per 100 km over a grand total of 1133 km. And she had to go offroad because of the detour around the horrific accident on the Monaro Highway.

I love my car :D

Anyone else love theirs?

Yes. Mine's a very nice car indeed. '91 Nissan Pintara. Considering it has no power steering it handles very nicely

Mine doesn't have power steering either Ian. But mine is a smaller car than yours so it doesn't get too heavy...

I have a '98 Nissan Pulsar hatchback. Gun metal grey. And its got roof racks for the bulky stuff. She's a little ripper. She goes like a charm and i fill her up for $30 and she lasts me for 2 weeks. Her name is Patsy.

I feel for your poor car Astro - did you have to turn the radio down to get up hills? :)

I have a Peugeot 206 GTi - it kicks Macavity's wimpy Mazda's arse ;-)

Hey! My car deserves some respect!

She needs a name though. Any suggestions? I am sick of people calling her "the Festy". That has negative connotations in my opinion...

Whats the letters in your number plate Astro i reckon that helps alot when making up a name.

Hmmm, probably prefer not to divulge that info on a forum...

She's maroon in colour - does that help any?

Mines a white 99 Hyundai excel. Good on petrol, not a lot of km's. Brakes would screach when you touch it. Bit quieter now. Gets me from A to B.

I have a kia rio...lil red devil. Everything i need

BUT.. My last car was a crappy car who everyone knew as 'Crunchie'. We all loved crunchie, she made the freakiest noises when she drove, the cv joints were shot (thats how she got her name) plus the fan was dead so if it rained I would have to drive with the window down so not to fog up....

R.I.P CRUNCHIE!!

Sorry Astro, im struggling to come up with anything with only a Maroon Festiva to go with. You'd be best off getting your mates to help you think up a name seeing as they know you and your car more than anyone here.

Mine is a POS :(

94 Daihatsu Applause, New engine (The last one seized at 250,000kms... pretty good for a Korean car), good on petrol, gets me from a to b occasionally

I used to call mine a POS too but I think it deserves better than that - probably your car does too! :)
