Good to see Phil Sigsworth back into the newtown family. I heard the ads on 2SM this week. Will tray and get down to the live broadcast next week to see a few newtown legends!! good initiative by the juniors to put this on for all the newtown fans!!

I was in Sydney the other day and heard it too - came on 2 or three times during the hour I was listening - great initiative - on ya Phil

It was a good afternoon, with kids given free ice cream, the club put on light refreshments (nice chinese restaurant) and more importantly Phil and Murph giving their support.
There were a number of Hill supporters with their junior Jets kids in attendance.
Murph and Phil were swamped to get their cards signed and played with the kids on the greens, they are Newtown.

Camperdown was a friendly little club, nothing flash but a place you feel comfortable.

i've heard that about camperdown. It was good to hear Graeme Hughes describe the club of the "heart of rugby league in NEwtown!' At least the juniors are doing their best to promote the league, shoring up their future and going out and getting sponsors! perhaps a few at the senior level could take some pointers from those in the junior ranks as to what it means to be part of newtown. Murph and Siggy could tell you! Doubt many on the board could as they seem to be more interested in shoring up their own positions instead of looking after the kids - the future of the club!!:crazy:
