And man we looked like a different team today! Kata dig f-all yesterday and was great today. Tomkins didn't even get involved as much as I expected but just having him on the field made a massive difference.

I was thinking the same, but Roosters looked very good against Tigers who we would have to go through to make the final.

So our inability to kick clear on our last a couple of times cost us during the first half.
Kata snuck us in front, pity we can't convert!
Not sure how it wasn't called grounded in goal by sharks.

A professional foul of the highest order in the final seconds by the Sharks. But nothing from the refs.
The inabilty to convert tries cost us.
Tough call on Tomkin's strip, but not the cleanest pass to Manu which could if sealed the game for us.

Not surprisingly we are knocked out. There's too much expectation for the Warriors when in reality there are 1/2 dozen clubs that can easily win it.

My prediction: this will have zero effect on the Warriors in the season proper

Bugger, makes the rest of the day much less interesting. Warriors looked way too under pressure the whole tournament for mine. Ah well, at least Kata looked f**king awesome.

Sharks did an excellent job of using penalties to eat up all remaining time. If only we kicked a goal or two we'd be in the semi-finals. Oh well. After day one I wasn't sure they'd even make the quarter-finals so this is about what I expected. Disappointing but not a surprise. Let's hope it's not an indication of how we start the regular season.
