MELBOURNE duo Will Chambers and Cameron Munster are the first to cop fines under the revamped judiciary system, following separate offences in Friday’s season-opener.
Chambers was slapped with a grade one contrary conduct charge for his punch on Canterbury forward Sam Kasiano late in the first half of their clash, which ended with both players sin-binned.
Kasiano escaped a charge for his role in the incident, which began when the Bulldogs prop held onto the jersey of Storm halfback Cooper Cronk and ended in Chambers flying in from afar.
— with an early guilty plea to discount the $1500 fine to $1100.
