No premierships response..

I'm a bit bored so I thought I'd post my response to a "No Premierships" thread in the NRL forum and see if you can come up with some other great moments in history coinciding with the last time "their" team won a comp.



Teams that have never won a premiership:

West Tigers
St George Illawarra
Nth Queensland
New Zealand Warriors
Cronulla

If you want to argue for the JV's then refer to the next paragraph.

South Sydney last won one around the time the wheel was invented
Parramatta last won one when smoking was allowed in Hospitals
Manly last won one when Donahue was en vogue
Canberra Raiders last won one whilst Kurt Cobain was still alive
Melbourne last won one LAST century
Brisbane last won one just before the Sydney Olympics

As for the rest of them what have they done THIS YEAR????

Does last year really count at all???

My guess is NO.

The thing I don't get is how the call mostly comes from young dragon fans who have never seen their team do anything but roll over and merge..

and if we wanna be reeeal nasty, StG won one last in 79(Flares were big then), Illawarra never even got close, Wests, Norths, Balmain were god knows when, Melbourne had a huge salary cap advantage and Brisbane won on the back of being the only team in town as did the Knights.
