How many players have played their entire career in 1st grade and never played a reserve grade game?

I can only think of three in Karmichael Hunt, Greg Alexander anb Benji Marshall. All three played international footy too.

I'm sure Benji played one game in reserve grade while he was recuperating from injury at the start of 2005.I may be wrong...

Tim Brasher went straight from school to first grade. I can't recall him playing any reserve grade.

Lockyer had played an entire reserve grade game the same day as his Broncos debut.

As for Langer.. Does BRL count as reserve grade?

No.......I don't think so. It was QLD's premier comp before the Broncos and as such should be counted as 1st grade.

I know Lockyer was on the bench for his debut......kinda figured he must have started somewhere for Brisbane.

I don't count NYC as reserve grade because it is age based. I'm pretty sure William Hopoate went straight from NYC to 1st grade. There'd be more nowadays. Reserve grade used to be a right of passage where you proved youself against grown men and showed you were ready for 1st grade. The game needs it back.

There's a bazillion players who have been promoted to NRL from NYC without ever playing in NSW/QLD Cup, etc.

He would definately have played reserve grade at Souths. They tried their best to force him out of the club.

I Thought Macdougall refused to play reserve grade.

But yes, he definately played lower grade whilst at Easts. Got a story of him being a f**kwit around that time as well.

Re Bob Fulton, im guessing he went straight into first grade in Sydney from the Wollongong competition?
