No Seriously, We Need To Talk About Gus

The NRL in their interdependent relationship with clubs do have some sway over what club and club officials can do, so can anyone explain to me why they allow Gould to continually spout off about the operations of clubs he’s not involved with?

Is it simply that Nein are major benefactor and they want Gus as their chief agitator?

And why don’t other clubs jump up about it?
Whilst he hasn’t been the only commentator to weigh in on it, just this week after the story had cooled slightly, we had Gus chime in with his opinion on Dylan Brown and Eels player options.
I wonder the likelihood we’ll hear from Gus about the Oloapu developments. I certainly doubt he’ll dig it back up in a couple of weeks to opine on the virtues of paying large release fees. And I doubt even more we’ll hear another club official mention the whole saga.

I don’t blame Gould for doing it. It benefits him and he’s been allowed do it for a long time. But every time he opens his mouth about another club, I think of the Lakers being fined $50k for tampering because Magic Johnson said a player on a different team was good and was going to win that other team a championship.

So let’s petition NRL to ensure Gould is no longer on our airwaves (because f**k the Dogs they can keep the slug now his main advantage is taken away from him).
