OK, early opening to nominations for the lock, as I am away next week.

Brad Clyde and Jason Croker are obvious nominees. Others?

He might have played there sometimes, but I think he would be principally classified as a second rower.

hmm....if someone gets nominated for lock, will they still be eligible for second-row, where there are two spots available instead of just the one? BK and Croker were both second-row/locks, it'd be a shame to see them miss out altogether due to only being nominated at lock. i reckon the losers of the lock award (at least in the case of BK, Clyde and Toots) should go into nomination for the second row.

Yes Kris... this is what we'll do.

Clyde was the best player in the world at his peak and only injury stopped him been the greatest forward ever imo. No need for any other nominations.

Don't worry about Clyde not making it... the 'favourites' have a tendency to make it into the team we are selecting, despite a lot of fluffing around with other candidates. The only departure so far from the team named by Bennett, Sheens and McIntyre in 2001 has been Noa Nadruku, where as they picked Mullins out of position.

Clyde will be there, but we might as well go through the formalities.

Gaffey, Barnhill  . Clyde for sure. Another position that is pretty much a waste of time. He is one of the best locks ever.

As for the 2nd row that is coming up, I will be really interested to see what happens. So many good players. My 2 would be Rubes and Dean Lance which means Coyne, Croker, Furner, Kennedy would miss out. I know that there are other players in that position I can't think of but it will probably be the most interesting poll.
