Had a great night at Slim’s rooftop bar at Darlinghurst last night. Such a cool place. There are no places in my area with that cool vibe.

Anyway my wife looked at me and said when our son finishes
Year 12 next year we should look at moving closer to the city.
I was a little tipsy and agreed.

Nothing will now change her mind now without massive dramas.

I’m finished.

Closer but it takes longer to get there. No chance she will go there. She likes Woollahra and Paddington. Basically I have to swap the Avenger mansion for a terrace with a single garage.

How long does it take to get to the city from the Shire? You can get to the city from manly in 18min on the fast ferry and about 25min driving outside peak hour.

East Sydney really. Great transformation considering in it’s previous life Hotel William was an early opener full of desperates and old hookers.

I’ve always felt that William Street should be glamorous and have a Champs Elysees vibe. Instead it’s pretty dead. Sad.

Since I moved out of the west, my first property was in Potts Point and I lived there until 2 years after I got married. Then we bought in Darling Point, then Woollahra. Now we live in Queens Park opp Centennial Park.

In 5 or 6 years when the kids shift out we will probably buy a 3 bed + study apt in the city somwhere. I currently have a boner over Darling Island, Walsh Bay or Barangaroo.

I like Queens Park. Very convenient spot. That street that backs in to the golf course is nice or is that Kensington ?
