What did the farmer say when he couldn't find his tractor?
Where's my tractor.
Potential scenario is that the ethical investing woke f**kwits in the corporate world avoid it due to peer pressure. I thought that might be a factor but so far it isn’t. That’s why @Avenger is smarter than me.There is talk crytpocurrency is being used for crimes, money laundering, terrorism and people smuggling as it is hard to trace. My concern is if this gain to much momentum in the dark world then governments may ban it. If so bitcoin may dissolve.
How can you ban something that is decentralized and unable to be controlled by government? This currency is purely driven by supply and demand and cannot be manipulated by government by printing more money or restricting supply or using fiscal policy. It’s a public blockchain where every transaction is visible yet the private key is only known by the owner. How can they stop that ? Who do they go after? The founder who I assume has the most Bitcoin is unknown and is simply known by a pseudonym. He doesn’t event control the public blockchain. The cat is out of the bag, It simply cannot be stopped just like you cannot turn the internet off. There is talk crytpocurrency is being used for crimes, money laundering, terrorism and people smuggling as it is hard to trace. Ahem....It’s here to stay and is the greatest invention in recent times.
Since its whole value is measured by comparison to fiat currency (1 Bitcoin is worth as many Bitcoins now as it was a decade ago) governments can just ban its use in transactions inside that country's borders. Some risk takers will still use it but most people will be scared and utilisation will fall off a cliff. If its use is criminalised somewhere like the EU or the US there will be no more free advertising in the media (including the big social media companies) and people will stop talking about it and the FOMO will drop away, along with much of its value. Then when criminals demand ransomware payments in Bitcoin, plenty of people will be too scared to pay, because use of the currency will be illegal. Much like how paying ransoms to Iranian cybercriminals is a breach of US sanctions. How can you ban something that is decentralized and unable to be controlled by government? actually bitcoin isn't even the big spinner .... plenty of other cryptos more lucrative in the short termI'm sure there are scenarios where bitcoin could fall away ... no one knows what will happen years from now
But right now its a f**kin cash cow .... milk it for what its worth
It's only a cash cow if your sell it, like f**king gold. What kind of idiot parks their money in gold these days? It does f**k all other than look pretty.I'm sure there are scenarios where bitcoin could fall away ... no one knows what will happen years from now
