With this fugging long off season dragging on forever I was how wondering those that live in regional areas and inter-state, especially those that have lived in Sydney before handle not actually getting to see the Sharks live.

I know there is little you can do but in my opinion there is nothing better than being there live, yelling at the oppisition players the ref and the touchie, hearing the crowd explode when the sharks score and drinking piss with your mates.

So to those that can't see the Sharks play, is watching it on TV enough to keep you going, or do you consider moving back to the Shire to see the Sharks?

I totally agree with you that there is nothing better than seeing your team play live. I have just moved to Syd from QLD and even though I am a huge Sharks fan, I used to go to every Cowboys home game that I could because being at a footy game is great, especially drinking beers. I moved to Castle Hill and took my first trip to Cronulla on the weekend to get familar with the area for footy season and I like. If my work was closer there is no queston I would have chosen to live in the shire. While Im here, anybody know a good hotel to stay at in Cronulla as I am going to head out after we beat the Donkeys in round two and Im not driving back to snobsville(Castle Hill)?

There is Best western hotel on the kingsway that should be pretty cheap, or if you have got the cash stay at Rydges!

I stayed at Rydges last time I was down, it was alright. Best part was being told hookers come and knock on your door...

I get by with foxtel. Plus I've been f**king working on saturday nights and going out so I've been living off replays. Hopefully by the time the season rolls around I'll be off saturday nights for good!

I stayed there on my wedding night.

No door knocks.

Back to the topic, I live in the bloody ACT. I was there at Bruce when the Sharkies played the Raiders in 2005 - great game. When the Sharkies aren't in town I tend to either listen to the match on radio (if I can find it) or go to the club and watch there (in between the pokies, and if the sharks are getting flogged, a few ciggies).

live is over rated.

live is about socialising.

Usually do not even know the score if I go and watch it later as I taped it.

Same goes for cricket.

NO, it isn't enough...

I need a "fix" or 2 of the Sharks every year...

I do sneak in to Shark park every now and then...;-)

I survive with watching every game on fox.....at the in laws or taped if I have something on.....I also listen live on the radio if I am anywhere (weddings etc) much to my wife's disgust.

However I wish often that i lived in the Shire so i could go to every game live. That would be perfect!

Live is where it's at. I only wish I could get to more away games. I'd go to them all if I could.

I'd go all off season as well if there was a summer comp.

I do miss not living in the Shire and being able to go to footy matches.
Regional Sport is pretty bloody weak let me tell ya.

I watch all the games on Fox. Gotta say watching on TV gives a more in depth view of the game. You miss alot watching it live, even with my binoculars.

Watching it live is all about the atmosphere of a big crowd.
