The North Sydney Bears will be holding open trials for the 2009 season on Saturday the 11th of October 2008 at T.G. Milner Field, Vimiera Road, Marsfield.
Harold Matthews (U16s) will be held on Saturday 11th of October 2008 from 8:30 a.m.
S.G. Ball (U18s) will be held on Saturday 11th of October 2008 from 10:30 a.m.
Successful players will be invited to return the following weekend to trial again (time & date to be announced).

The North Sydney Bears are the feeder club for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. This provides a pathway for Bears junior rep players to play for South Sydney in the National Under-20s competition and NRL (via North Sydneys NSW Cup team).
In 2008 North Sydneys SG Ball five-eighth Dylan Farrell was promoted to South Sydneys Under-20s side playing 9 games and scoring 6 tries. He joined 4 other players from the Bears 2007 junior sides in the Rabbitohs Under-20s squad props John Kaifoto and Brad Lupi, second rower Chris Farrell and hooker Mitch Williams.
There have been plenty of NRL stars who started out their careers in the Bears junior teams including Mitchell Pearce and Mark OMeley from the Roosters, Matt Orford from the Sea Eagles, Chris Heighington from the Tigers, Brett Kearney from Cronulla and Michael Sullivan and Lee Te Maari from Canterbury along with up and comers such as Liam Foran from Melbourne and Grant Millington from Cronulla.
