Nostradamus Predicted This

I was on Twitter and saw the following exchange:



Sowie and I may be on the same wavelength because I've been diving deep into the old prophecies to see if there is any good news on the horizon for Dragon's fans. I bet you didn't know Nostradamus was a League fan. How else do you explain the popularity of rugby in France? He could see into the future and I'd argue that after prophesizing boring geo-political events he used his future vision to watch a few matches.

Don't believe me? Read on.

First I have to get the bad news out of the way. This is verse #48 from Century I of his prophecies. Anything in parenthesis are my interpretations:

"When twenty years of the Moon's (McGregor's bald head) reign have passed
another will take up his reign for seven thousand years.
When the exhausted Sun takes up his cycle
then my prophecy and threats will be accomplished."​

I could be wrong about the Moon interpretation because 7020 years before we see another championship will be too much for me to bear.

This one is also pertinent:

#24 Century III

"Great confusion in the enterprise (no doubt),
Loss of people, countless treasure (no explanation needed):
You ought not to extend further there (the Board should have heeded this before the 2yr extension).
France, let what I say be remembered" (don't worry Nosradamus I'll make sure everyone knows you were the first to call this.​

#21 Century IV - starting to get a little more positive

"The change will be very difficult:
City and province will gain by the changeboth Wollongong and Kogarah will benefit)
Heart high, prudent established, chased out one cunning (Mary's been getting away with this for years)
Sea, land, people will change their state." (Those that live by the water in Wollongong & Botany Bay plus those in Rockdale will finally see their team in the Top 8 on a regular basis and be happy again).

Unfortunately I reckon that last one refers to 2010, not something still to come. That was when Mary (one cunning) was chased out.

Other than that I cannot fault your clear, rational and well reasoned interpretation.
