what club did he bail on?Perez bailing on another club, not like him lol
Toronto, Ottawa and now Cornwall. Seems a pattern no?what club did he bail on?
He’d have the job for two years then bail if his mo is anything to go by. If you were looking For a new SL commercial ceo you’d go for Paul Lakin, not that I want to lose him from my club. He has transformed HKR.Perez should be running the rfl
If an existing super league club made him ceo he would grow their crowds significantly
Toronto averaged around 8k in the championship after two years of existence. Clubs that have been around for 150 years can’t manage that
The demographic of Toronto crowds was also the stuff that the English game doesn’t ie women under 40, kinds, and in general younger generation
Both clubs he ran got basically nothing from the rfl and had to create crowds from scratch ie they were zeroHe’d have the job two years then bail if his mo is anything to go by. he was pushed out of toronto, had a different plan to what they eventually went with. he wanted a slower and longer raise to the top. that is why ottowa was to be set up as lower leagues only.Toronto, Ottawa and now Cornwall. Seems a pattern no?
Both? He’s been involved with three clubs, he’s bailed on all three. Both clubs he ran got basically nothing from the rfl and had to create crowds from scratch ie they were zero
Taking an existing club and marketing it would be a walk in the park
How would your mate Larkin go running Toronto or Cornwall
He’s an entrepreneur, he thought he could make a quid, he couldnt. He went nowhere with three very ambitious plans and didn’t stick with any of them. By any definition his club ownership history is a complete failure.he was pushed out of toronto, had a different plan to what they eventually went with. he wanted a slower and longer raise to the top. that is why ottowa was to be set up as lower leagues only.
you do realise that ottowa and cornwall were the same license.
i dont agree with everything he did but seeing first hand the time, effort and money he put into canadian rugby league his passion for rugby league cant be questioned. the guy could throw an event.
so of all the games you attended in toronto and chats with eric, what are your thoughts on why he finally bailed on rugby league?
