It's been proposed as end of season Tests, and for them to be played in addition to England v Samoa Test Series & France's World Cup Qualification commitments.

Honestly, the more matches the better. Lebanon can pull together a competitive squad with their NRL players, so will put up good opposition for England and will be a big test for France. There is a reasonable Lebanese population in the UK, with about 15K born and another 90K descendants.

France v Lebanon would be a great tussle and the kind of tests that the French should be playing on home soil as well as the likes of Fiji and PNG.

How will a squad of NRL players help grow the game in Lebanon?

I guess the same way that a squad of NRL players helps grow the game in Samoa or Tonga, through awareness and revenue generation.

If the LRLF continue doing what they've done their last few appearances, there will be 2-4 local players in the squad.

They'll be the away team on the tour, so the bigger benefits they bring are to England & France by providing them with more quality opposition plus an opportunity to introduce the sport to the 90K people who identify as Lebanese in England & 300K in France.
