Now that Channel 9 will have the rights to Union from next year...

Who do you think Channel 9 will use as commentators for their Union coverage next year? Do you think that they'll try to poach the Ch7 folk (e.g. Gordon Bray et al.)?

they would probably use the host broadcasters... im assuming the inbound tests will still have those biased fox commentators doing them.

So, for the home tests, you think they'll just scab off Fox's coverage? I read somewhere that Ch9 are only going to spend approx. half the amount of money they do on Rugby League production costs (per game, that is) for the Union tests they'll cover (i.e. each game of Union produced will only incur half the amount of costs that it would take to cover an NRL match), so there is a good chance that you are correct

So that means we'll have to listen to those biased NZ and SA commentators now instead of the biased Aussie ones?

yeah.... that means you will have to listen to those NZ and South African commentators... as opposed to those biased Australian commentators.

well to be fair... theres only Phil Kearns.. i dont mind the others so much... NZ have Tony Johnson whos just as bad... but i dont think they use him for the big games...

The Saffa ones are the worst. A Springbok player could shoot someone on the field and they'd still find a reason to validate it.

lol ... At least the Aussie poster on the thread can admit his countries commentators are biased.

The Kiwi tards who commentate S15 are as biased as they come. Try listening without the blinkers.

the australin commentators are beyond a joke, in the heat of the game, they are terrible, australia cant do anything wrong and the ref is always wrong,
they used to be good when ch 7 had gordon bray and hand(job) handy, they were by far the worst thing ever to go on tv, even david campese came out saying they were sh*t, but ever since fox has monopolised rugby, they've slid down hill, dont mind NZ commentators or south african for the change, but everyone is a little baised i guess, its when u can give credit to the other team, and accpet faults in your own team that shows class and a good commentator of which i cant remember phil kearns or steve martin ever doing.
