Terrific points Hurriflutch- and Ron Jeremy-you must be either very loyal to the extreme or have not got a clue!

Vella and Wagon have been on a downhill spiral for nearly 3 years-their recent form in particular Vella has been ok- BUT we need more than ok to get us to at least be respectable!


Our passion and creativity has all but gone as well as our aggressive toughness in the forwards- where both these guys should be helping out Hindy a far lot more!

I am loyal as they come but its obvious Smithy has his pet players which is fine because every coach can but form should be consistent and they should be leading our team as the more experience players but they do not measure up to any opposition-in fact they go missing in action as well as being very ordinary when involved- for whatever reason they are not producing- whether they have lost their passion deep down or whatever the reason they simply would not be in any other NRL side!

I love my team but im being honest and open in what i see-Smithy has to go and these players need a kick up the backside or a fresh start elsewhere!

In ALL honesty, Wagon is UNDOUBTEDLY our 2nd best defender behind Hindy - and not far behind him!!! .....we need players like that in our team - who can concentrate on defense.....sure we lack alot in many areas, but get off your wagon bashing tirade cos its way off mark.

Wags may not be in the form he was in 2001, but he still offers alot to our side, especially in defence.

How can people continually blame Wagon for our losses!! He has been one of the best defenders out there week in and week out! Vella has had some shockers and isnt the player he used to be but GET OFF WAGONS BACK!!!

People only blame Wagon for things that he deserves to be blamed for!

He often rushes up out of the line on the 5th tackle to 'put pressure' on the kicker (I'm talking within our own 20) and gets stepped/ leaves open a hole for the dummy half to scoot over/ leaves a gap behind himself where a kick is immediately placed - all of these result in tries! These sort of mistakes sort of nullify a lot of the good stuff that he does!

But, as a big Wagon basher, I must admit that the last 4-5 weeks I haven't seen him make any glaring errors, and he's even been passing the footy! I reckon he's been going all right recently, and should be our lock for the rest of the season!! Don't drop him!

Yeah, players who average 30+ tackles a game often tend to be looked upon favourabley by coaches.....

Wagon has been great defensively this year. I don't know what people expect of the guy playing out of position and making 30 - 40 tackles a game. He's not flash or brilliant but is very important to our side.

Last year he won the player's player of the year, it shows just much his teamates value him to the side.

Vella's form has undoubtably been down. A spell in first division would not go astray, however with so many injury problems his experience is handy. Vella is Parramatta at heart though, not the player he once was, but he can still offer a lot to out football side.

Widders more than anyone rushes out of the line. We have big defensivce problems in our own 20 as everyone has seen. Our defense will be more explioted than ever with the team which Roosters will field. A lot of tired people i hope.

Vella = Player that always puts in a big effort for us and is a local boy (still fire in the belly just not playing the right attacking style)
