The Warriors will have all home games in 2021 scheduled for Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium and could play clusters of matches in New Zealand at the beginning and end of the season as they await the release of the NRL draw later this week.

On the brink of a pivotal fortnight which will determine when coach Nathan Brown will be able to finally bring his full playing squad together, the Warriors are edging towards playing their first match in New Zealand for almost two years.

Rugby league fans won’t have to wait long to see Origin foes Payne Haas and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui go up against each other again with the Broncos and Titans set to face off in Round 2 next season.

Haas and Fa’asuamaleaui’s scuffle in Origin II was one of the biggest talking points to come out of the series and according to The Australian’s Brent Read, the two will meet again when Haas’ Broncos clash with Fa’asuamaleaui’s new club, the Titans in the opening weeks of the 2021 season.

Adding to the Broncos-Titans rivalry is Gold Coast’s new recruit, David Fifita. The ex-Bronco was officially unveiled in Titans colours on Friday after his contract talk dominated the headlines earlier this year.

“The draw is due out I think at the end of next week. The whispers at the moment, Brisbane will play Gold Coast Round 2 so we won’t have to wait long for that game,” Read told Triple M’s Rush Hour with MG.

The AFL is reportedly considering a radical shakeup of the fixtures in 2021, with the schedule not expected to be released until February, with the draw to be confirmed on a month-by-month basis.
