hiya

i'm going to be in the UK all thru september and was wondering what sort of tv coverage i can expect of the NRL finals series ?

i thought sky would show every game but their website is very inconclusive. is there a difference between sky / cable and /or digital in the UK ?

thanks for any help you can provide

Sky Sports show the NRL games on Saturday and Sunday mornings on either Sky Sports 1,2,3 or extra. As far as i can remember you can get 1,2,&3 on Cable but not extra. Sometimes they show two live games on a saturday, with Sunday being a delayed broadcast. They usually show at least all the tries from the other games. I think they'll show all the games that Fox show, as they're both News International companies, other than that i couldn't say.

Sky should see every game from the second week of the finals on. (Only two a week from there, so like normal schedule.)

You might miss one or two of the four games in the first week of semis, but that's all? Only trick is finding a pub with Sky open at 10:30 in the morning, if you don't have access where you're staying etc.

Wherebouts are you staying?

A Walkabout bar might have it on? Though from what I can remember they only open later on as I had to pop into an old codgers' bar to watch the Anzac Test.

Make friends with someone with a SKy dish. Or join a gym, most of them have TVs with the rugby on :-D

thanks for the help guys. i'm touring around the country a bit too so hopefully i get put up at a decent hotel with all the sport channels. otherwise it's the early-opener / gym option and if all else fails i can stand in the high street and beg for pay tv access
