Brisbane Tigers and Moreton Bay Dolphins.

Let the Wests Tigers become the Western Sydney Magipes.

I think it would be good one day for SEQ to be represented by four teams:

Redcliffe Dolphins
Brisbane Broncos
Ipswich Jets
Gold Coast Titans

SEQ Dolphins can play at Suncorp until the 2032 Olympics come to Brisbane and use them to fund an upgrade to a 20k all seater Dolphin Stadium to be used for RU 7's. At which point they can revert to being the Redcliffe Dolphins.

Once the Broncos, Titans and Dolphins have their own ground the Jets and the NRL can go to the QLD Government asking for a stadium in exchange for NRL admission.

Let's say this all happened by 2040 you'd have an NRL that could look something like this:

North QLD Cowboys
Redcliffe Dolphins
Brisbane Broncos
Ipswich Jets
Gold Coast Titans

Auckland Warriors
Christchurch Bulls

Sydney Roosters
South Sydney Rabbitohs
Canterbury Bulldogs
Parramatta Eels

Newcastle Knights
Central Coast Sea Eagles
St George Illawarra Dragons (100% Illawarra based)
Canberra Raiders

Melbourne Storm
Adelaide Sharks
West Coast Tigers

No panthers? Sorry isn't this thread about we have the depth to create 2 MORE teams, not take away teams and replace them with another NZ team, plus , a quarter of NRL juniors stems from western sydney, wests, parra and penrith.

What if the Bulldogs were relocated to Christchurch, retaining the name Canterbury Bulldogs, but dropping Bankstown?

That way Penrith Panthers can remain and maybe adopt the name Western Sydney Panthers to cover a larger footprint.

It makes sense name-wise but Canterbury are one of the powerhouse clubs in Sydney

For expansion clubs they could be supported to be paired with other non NRL club areas. If we do get Brisbane 2 and with the needs of the Storm then Qland talent will be pretty much sucked up. Perth could partner with South Island of NZ and PNG as an example. Run Pirate academies and elite jnr programs in those countries with the best kids feeding into a Perth based U18 and U21 comp that would give WA talent a competitive platform without the travel as well as give these kids from other countries an opportunity to make it in first grade.

The talents out there, the numbers are out there, we just need to get smart. When the Western Reds came in they did something similar with about 120 players brought across to Perth and fed into the WARL comp.
